What do you think? Good idea? Bad idea?

Here is where it worked. Sorta. Spewy or good play? Position is the biggest difference in my opinion.

  1. I think the TT squeeze is standard there. You are repping a decent hand in the BB. Without history the call from my111mp could be a low/middling pocket pair on ATs/AJs kinda hand. A relatively safe flop that misses most hands in his calling range so a Cbet here is good. With no worry of a flush draw or straight draw from you his call of your cbet says to me your are beaten by a set. This could be completely wrong but without history of villain floating I assume the worst here. I would expect a bet from villain after you check the turn. I dont think you can call the river push.

This is my normal thinking when dealing with reasonably savvy poker players. $10NL thinking will be different..... I think villains calling range at 10NL also includes any Ax hand. This puts 2pair in his range and also other pocket pairs.

I play as you did, make a note that possible floating. Note that he may like to check turn push river on a bluff. This note will be key to extracting a lot of $ from him on future hands if true. 10NL players do not play in a uniform way but have massive leaks. When you spot them, adjust and turn them to toast.

Second example also standard imo. Villains may be different styles. Ztravantjie knows how to fold and maybe doesnt play Ax hands. Position is a good factor here too.

  2. Excellent comments. I did make a note about floating as well. I didn't consider the check turn, river shove as a bluff. I just haven't found too many instances where the villians do not show up with the goods at 10NL. I'll have to start studying when they may make that sort of move.

I guess the easiest way to tell would be to make sure I am watching what they showdown with.
